Fargo Youth Initiative - June 18, 2024 Minutes

A Special Meeting of the Fargo Youth Initiative Members of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, was held in the Dawson Room of Fargo Public Library – Main at 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

The Fargo Youth Initiative Members present or absent were as follows:

Present: Abhijna Kavasseri, McKenzie Olson, Abigail Hamilton, Kallie Anderson, Isabella Meyer, Steph Kramer

Absent: Koral Siegal, Jadyn Chakua, Madeline Abbott, Ava Martin, Patrick Shen

Item 1. Welcome and Introductions
Chair McKenzie Olson welcomed Members to the meeting and introductions were made.

Item 2. Senior Farewell
Members thanked outgoing seniors for their service to Fargo Youth Initiative over the years.

Item 3. Impact Fargo Event
Discussion was held regarding vision of an Impact Fargo event to be held this fall. Liaison City Commissioner Kolpack provided feedback on ideas, including suggesting to include City Manager(s) on the panel. Members were assigned areas to plan including venue, catering, transportation, and programming.

Item 4. Recruitment
Members discussed the timing of recruitment and whether to keep applications open through Impact Fargo to allow for increased promotion.

Item 5. Adjourn
The time of adjournment was 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will occur mid-July.
