The Fargo Police Department (FPD) would like to inform the community that at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, missing runaway 16-year-old Damiana Guzman, who had been unaccounted for since September 26, 2025, was located safe in Aberdeen, South Dakota, by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Since her disappearance, FPD detectives have worked tirelessly to locate her. Their efforts included conducting numerous interviews, executing search warrants on residences and thoroughly examining phones and social media accounts. The Fargo Police Department would like to thank the U.S. Marshals Service, along with several other regional agencies, for their assistance as the search for Damiana spanned multiple states. As a result of their dedication and persistence, Damiana was found unharmed and is now receiving the care and support she needs, and is on her way home.
The Fargo Police Department extends its gratitude to the community for their support and to all law enforcement personnel involved in this case. The FPD also wants to offer its ongoing support to Damiana’s family as we recognize the stress this situation has caused.
The Fargo Police Department is continuing to work diligently with law enforcement partners on this investigation to determine whether charges are possible for any individuals involved. Further details will not be released at this time to protect the privacy of Damiana and her family, as well as to preserve the integrity of the investigation.
