The Fargo Police Department Seeks Public’s Assistance in Locating Attempted Murder Suspect

The victim is being treated at a local medical facility for his injuries

UPDATE: The Moorhead Police Department took Lena Deoliveira into custody without incident on Sunday, September 7. She is currently being held at the Clay County Jail and is expected to be extradited to Cass County.


On Friday, September 5, at 5:39 a.m., The Fargo Police Department (FPD) responded to an aggravated assault near the 700 block of College Street North. Upon arrival, officers located a male with significant injuries. During the course of the investigation, the FPD identified Lena Deoliveira, a 23-year-old Moorhead resident, as a suspect in the assault. Deoliveira is known to the victim. The victim is being treated at a local medical facility for his injuries.

The FPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Deoliveira, who is 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, for attempted murder.

Anyone with information regarding Deoliveira’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact The Fargo Police Department at 701.451.7660. Anonymous tips can be submitted by texting keyword FARGOPD and the tip to 847411.

If you see Deoliveira, do not approach her or attempt to apprehend her. Instead, call police (9-1-1) immediately and provide as much detail as possible – including location, direction of travel, clothing description or anyone she may be with.
