Safety & Prevention
The Fargo Police Department is committed to fostering a spirit of cooperation with the citizens of our community to prevent the victimization of our neighbors. The department recognizes that the prevention of crime is key to the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
The goal of the Fargo Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit is to provide programs and strategies to reduce crime and create community partners throughout Fargo. Our presentations focus on methods used to prevent crime and encourage community engagement. Our safety and prevention section is full of information you can put to use on a day-to-day basis to decrease the chances of crime happening to you.
If you would like to schedule a presentation to your group, please contact the crime prevention officer at least three weeks prior to the date you would like them to speak. Presentations are free of charge and can be tailored to the need of the requesting organization.
