At 2:30 a.m. today, the Fargo Fire Department responded to a possible fire in Doolittles Woodfire Grill at 2112 25 St S. Fargo police officers were on scene for an alarm going off inside and noticed smoke in the building. The first arriving fire units had to break down a door to gain entry to the business. They located a fire in one of the commercial ovens and quickly extinguished it.
There was no fire extension to the building, but damage to the equipment is estimated to be at $5000. The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire so there were no injuries.
The Fargo Fire Department responded with 16 personnel on 4 engines, 1 truck and 1 command vehicle.
The Fargo Fire Department would like to remind everyone to call 911 immediately at the first sign of a fire. The quicker we can respond, the faster we can extinguish the fire and minimize damages.
