Firefighters Respond to Structure Fire

Fargo firefighters responded to a report of fire coming from a home located in the Countryside Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire coming from the windows of the home. Firefighters were able to control the fire within 15 minutes of arrival.

Fargo firefighters responded to a report of fire coming from a home located in the Countryside Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival firefighters found heavy fire coming from the windows of the home. Firefighters were able to control the fire within 15 minutes of arrival. There was one occupant inside at the time of the fire. The occupant stated he woke up due to the heat and flames that were quickly spreading through the home, and he then escaped.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is considered to be electrical. A damage estimate is not yet available but the home is considered to be a total loss.

The Fargo Fire Department would like to remind everyone to have working smoke alarms in their homes and to test them monthly. It is also important to exit a building immediately when a fire alarm sounds and to call 9-1-1 at the first sign of smoke or fire.
