The Fargo Police Department wishes to inform the public about the rules surrounding liquor consumption during the Downtown Street Fair. The Downtown Community Partnership has approved the following vendors to sell alcohol during the Downtown Street Fair: Fargo Brewing, Front Street, Drekker, Kilstone and SideStreet. These vendors will be selling alcohol in specific, approved containers that can be consumed within the Street Fair boundaries. There will be signs throughout the Street Fair designating the approved consumption areas. All individuals will receive a wrist band and event cup when purchasing alcohol from these vendors. Individuals found consuming alcohol in unapproved containers, without a wristband, and/or outside of the event boundaries may be charged under the Fargo Municipal Code 25-1513A (B Misdemeanor) which carries $100 fine and must appear in court.
The Fargo Police Department will have extra officers working during the Street fair as well as the Downtown Resource Officers.
