Strummin' and Hummin' themed activities for the week of July 16 to 21 for kids.

Gather 'Round the Campfire
Strum along with us as we bring the outdoors inside for an old-fashioned campfire sing-along! We'll also have yummy treats, fun games, and crafts. Kids ages 6 to 12 are invited to take part at the Main Library on Monday, July 16 at 6:30 p.m. A session for kids ages 2 to 5 will be held at the Main Library on Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. No registration is required.

Movie Matinee featuring Coco
All ages are invited to the Main Library, Dr. James Carlson Library or Northport Branch on Wednesday, July 18, at 1 p.m. to catch our movie matinee, Coco. Watch the story of 12-year-old Miguel Rivera as he is accidentally transported to the land of the dead, where he seeks the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his family among the living. Popcorn will be served and no registration is required.

Handmade Guitars
Watch guitar craftsman Jeff Swenson create a guitar from everyday objects found around the house, and learn how you can too! Join us at the Dr. James Carlson Library on Thursday, July 19, at 2 p.m. where one lucky winner will get to take home the newly-made guitar. This event is open to all ages. No registration is required.

Guitars Got Style
Picked, plucked, stroked or strummed, guitars are played in different ways in a variety of musical styles and cultures. Classical and jazz guitar instructor and musician Eric Martens will tell us about it and share some of his amazing guitar skills at the Dr. James Carlson Library on Saturday, July 21, at 11 a.m. No registration is required for this all ages event.

These events are part of the library's "Libraries Rock!" summer reading program for kids.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children age 9 and younger. Check out the library's online calendar of events for a list of upcoming children's programs and activities.
