August 1 through 7 is World Breastfeeding Week, a time for communities to come together and show support for breastfeeding. Fargo Cass Public Health provides resources for individuals and businesses to support breastfeeding.
For the Fargo Public Library, teens can make tie dye T-shirts the Tuesday at the Carlson Library and Wednesday at the Main Library. All materials will be provided and pre-registration is required. The Library’s annual Summer Reading Challenge continues through August 20th. This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities” and participants of all ages are encouraged to read every day to complete challenges, earn badges and win prizes.
Last Friday, the joint Fargo/West Fargo Fire Academy celebrated the graduation of five new firefighters here in the Commission Chambers – four for Fargo and one for West Fargo. Welcome to Team Fargo...Brendan, Jeremy, Chase and Matt. And congratulations to Arika for joining West Fargo. This joint academy is truly a win-win for both communities as we work together to recruit, educate and retrain the best and brightest. We will now show a short video showing their training process.
