The Mayor's Message - 11.29.2021

World AIDS Day is December 1. Fargo Cass Public Health provides free and confidential HIV testing Monday through Friday and results are available in about 20 minutes. Evening testing is also available Mondays and Thursdays. For those living with HIV, starting treatment early means a person can live a full, healthy and productive life.

The Fargo Public Library will take part in the James Webb Space Telescope Challenge through December 31st as part of the historic launch of the largest telescope ever created. Children ages 12 and younger can log in to the Library’s Beanstack app and complete activities to earn digital badges while learning about the mission.

The Holiday Cookie Club for teens and adults runs December 6th through the 12th where participants can share photos, recipes, reviews and baking experiences and then assemble recipes into a mini cookbook.

Tonight, the CommsGA Team has two videos for us. The first highlights the lighting of the two holiday trees on the City Plaza to kick off our 150 years as a community. The second showcases the ribbon cutting of Fargo Public Schools’ Explorer Academy. Several City departments, especially the Fargo Fire Team, collaborated with Fargo Public Schools to make this excellent project become a reality.
