Are you an amateur, regional photographer? The library is seeking submissions for its first Northern Focus photography project for adults and teens age 13 and older. Submissions will be accepted online only from now through May 31, 2021 at https://fargolibrary.wufoo.com/forms/northern-focus-2021/. All rules and guidelines for the Northern Focus photography project are available on the library’s Northern Narratives webpage.

All entries will be included in a photo exhibit at the downtown Main Library later this year. In addition, one photo will be selected as the cover art for the library’s 2021 Northern Narratives publication.

All photos must be taken regionally (within ND/reciprocal MN) and convey a sense of the people, places, and/or happenings that make up our diverse community and region. There is no fee to enter the Northern Focus photography project. By submitting a photo, you certify that you are the author and copyright holder of the photo. It is the artist’s responsibility to obtain releases from their subjects. Entries can be of any photographic medium (black/white, color, digital, manipulated, etc.). Submitted photos must be suitable for public display and community viewing as determined by the library. Obscene, provocative, or otherwise questionable content will not be considered.

If you have questions about the Northern Focus photography project, please call the Main Library Information Desk at 701.241.1492.

This project is supported by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
