Library seeks submissions for kids’ writing and art project

Grab your pencils and paper, kids! The Fargo Public Library is accepting writing and art entries for "Northern Narratives Junior" its first ever, kids-only edition of the library’s literature publication, "Northern Narratives."

Grab your pencils and paper, kids! The Fargo Public Library is accepting writing and art entries for Northern Narratives Junior its first ever, kids-only edition of the library’s literature publication, Northern Narratives. Submissions will be accepted online for the library’s Northern Narratives Junior through Friday, April 30, 2021. Kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to submit entries in any of the following categories:
• Short Stories
• Poetry
• Comics
• Nonfiction Essays
• Drawing
• Photography
All rules, guidelines and entry forms for the project are available on the library’s “Northern Narratives” webpage at www.fargolibrary.org/adults/northern-narratives. Entry forms must accompany submissions, and participants can submit entries by mail, email or in person at any Fargo Public Library location. Entries will be judged and prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place in each category. Winning entries will be announced in late May. All submissions will be included in the library’s online literary magazine (provided they meet eligibility requirements and guidelines).
