Fargo Cass Public Health will collaborate with Emerging Digital Academy for its annual Hack A Thon September 26th and September 27th. This year’s theme is “How Household Income Impacts Health Outcomes in Cass County.” Over the course of 24 hours, virtual event participants will compete as teams to create a project around this year’s theme and then the projects will be presented to a panel of judges.

The Fargo Public Library’s outdoor fall StoryWalk is up in the plaza near the “Sodbuster” statue and features the book “Tap the Magic Tree” by Christie Matheson. The StoryWalk will be up through October 31st.

The downtown Main Library has a Mask Tree in the lobby. Library staff are accepting new, handmade masks of any size for the tree to provide masks to the members of the community who need one most. Donated masks can be dropped off at the Main Library Circulation Desk.

The Fargo Police Department continues to work on the implementation of body-worn cameras and at a recent meeting, a timeline was set for implementation with the expectation the cameras will be in service by early to mid-summer 2021.
