A team from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International is conducting a site visit of the Fargo Fire Department this week. They will interview various Fire and City department personnel. This is the third time the Fire Department has been reviewed for accreditation. Due to the efforts of the Fire Department to become accredited, several policies, procedures and planning documents have been put in place over the past 10 years which have led to the City of Fargo advancing from an Insurance Services Office classification 3 to a Class 1. The Fargo Fire Department is one of only 95 fire departments internationally that are accredited with an ISO Class 1.
