The Fargo Arts and Culture Commission (ACC) has released a Call for Artists for a Fargo water tower design project. The ACC is currently seeking qualifications from interested artists and teams to develop an image for installation on a Fargo water tower located near 7th Ave. and University Drive N. based on quality community engagement designed and implemented by an artist or team.

The artist or team is expected to develop and lead community engagement to directly inform a design and create an image for the water tower. The artist(s) are expected to develop, lead and implement the project while working independently.
The final design proposal for the water tower should be in line with the theme of “community”. The ideal design will highlight the unity of Fargo’s people and the spirit of the evolving metro area. In light of the public health pandemic, the City seeks to utilize a robust virtual campaign to gather input and feedback from community members. The selected artist(s) should be familiar with virtual platforms and include an explanation of how they will use them to interact with the public. Quality community engagement that utilizes virtual platforms to solicit input is a priority for the project.

The deadline for applications is July 24 at 4 p.m. Central Daylight Time. To learn more or submit an application, find the Call for Artists FargoND.gov/BidPostings.
