WHEREAS, John Biwer has served the Fargo-Moorhead community and Discovery Benefits for 22 years; and

WHEREAS, Residents, co-workers, friends and family would like to honor John Biwer and his achievements on his departure from Discovery Benefits; and

WHEREAS, John Biwer has provided visionary leadership, professional coaching and mentoring, and persistent operational diligence for continued process improvement and innovation in support of scalable and sustainable premiere customer service to grow the company from 30 employees to more than 850 employees; and
-
WHEREAS, For the last 22 years, John’s leadership has touched more than 7,500 employees, and Discovery Benefits currently provides insurance benefits services to 13,598 employers, 2,044,760 participants and 5 million COBRA covered continuants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim March 6, 2020 as
JOHN BIWER DAY
in the City of Fargo, North Dakota and call upon his family, friends and co-workers to celebrate this special day so his work and impact to the citizens of Fargo-Moorhead will be honored and remembered.
