WHEREAS, New Life Center has been serving the Fargo-Moorhead community since 1907 helping men go from homeless and hurting to whole and healthy; and

WHEREAS, New Life Center has provided one million nights of lodging in its history; and

WHEREAS, New Life Center has been a place of refuge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for 112 years for those in need without ever closing its doors; and

WHEREAS, New Life Center has embarked on a step-by-step journey to move from a one-dimensional organization offering shelter and basic services into a multi-faceted emergency, crisis and life-transformation center; and

WHEREAS, The community has supplied the resources to renovate the building and programs of New Life Center that help individuals go from surviving to thriving.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim July 11, 2019 as
NEW LIFE CENTER DAY
in the City of Fargo, North Dakota in honor of the hundreds of thousands of people who have sought help and found real change at Fargo’s New Life Center.
