WHEREAS, Shortly after Thanksgiving, citizens will be asked to send their letters or e-mails to The Christmas Gift, informing them of someone who is in need during the Holiday Season; and

WHEREAS, During the three weeks before Christmas, The Christmas Gift will grant a “Christmas Gift” out of the responses they receive every business day; and
-
WHEREAS, As The Christmas Gift begins granting gifts and airing them, people become so moved that they start contributing more and more to enable The Christmas Gift to give out more and more gifts to the needy; and
-
WHEREAS, The “Christmas Gift” is going to be the most wonderful and moving experience for all involved; and

WHEREAS, On Wednesday, June 19, 2019 burgers will be cooked in downtown Fargo in the plaza between the Civic Center and the Library from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to benefit those in need this Holiday Season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim June 19, 2019 as
CHRISTMAS GIFT DAY
in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.
