WHEREAS, The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has for 41 years distinguished itself as the voice of women in construction in Fargo and the surrounding area; and

WHEREAS, Work done by Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has benefited the area through community development and educational programs; and
-
WHEREAS, Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has unceasingly promoted the employment and advancement of women in the construction industry; and
-
WHEREAS, The construction community, represented by Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246, has been a driving force in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects, promotion of skilled trades careers and a positive vision of the future; and
*WHEREAS, Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has sought to achieve successful results for the Fargo and surrounding area in a cooperative spirit with other organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim March 3-9, 2019 as
Women in Construction Week
in the City of Fargo and hereby recognize Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 of the National Association of Women in Construction and its many dedicated volunteers for its steadfast work on behalf and support of women in construction and encourage our citizens to congratulate the organization on its many accomplishments.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Fargo, North Dakota to be affixed this 4th day of February, 2019.
