WHEREAS, Sanford Children’s Hospital is the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in the State of North Dakota; and

WHEREAS, Sanford Children’s Hospital has an average daily census of 48 children receiving the highest quality of care thanks in part to donations to Children’s Miracle Network; and
-
WHEREAS, More than $1 million in Children’s Miracle Network funds are disbursed annually to purchase specialized equipment, fund programs and support research and education; and
-
WHEREAS, Children’s Hospitals Week is a collaborative effort of Children’s Miracle Network and its member hospitals highlighting the importance of children’s hospitals and how donations help kids – no matter their illnesses or injuries – get the best care when they need it.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim March 5-11, 2018 as Children's Hospitals Week in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.
