WHEREAS, The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Fargo-ND Chapter #246 has for 40 years distinguished itself as the voice of women in construction in Fargo and the surrounding area; and

WHEREAS, Work done by Fargo-ND Chapter #246 has benefited the area through community development and educational programs; and
-
WHEREAS, Fargo-ND Chapter #246 has unceasingly promoted the employment and advancement of women in the construction industry; and
-
WHEREAS, The construction community, represented by Fargo-ND Chapter #246, has been a driving force in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects, promotion of skilled trades careers and a positive vision of the future; and
-
WHEREAS, Fargo-ND Chapter #246 has sought to achieve successful results for the Fargo and surrounding area in a cooperative spirit with other organizations.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim March 4-10, 2018 as Women in Construction Week in the City of Fargo and hereby recognize Fargo-ND Chapter #246 and its many dedicated volunteers for its steadfast work on behalf and support of women in construction and encourage our citizens to congratulate the organization on its many accomplishments.
