Mayoral Proclamation - Dave Wallis Day - 10.30.2017

I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim Monday, October 30, 2017, as Dave Wallis Day in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.

  • WHEREAS, a public retirement reception is being held for Dave Wallis this 30th day of October, 2017 at The Forum newspaper on the corner of First Avenue North and Fifth Street for co-workers, residents, family and friends to pay tribute to Dave Wallis on his retirement; and

  • WHEREAS, Dave Wallis is retiring after 40 years of service to newspaper readers; and

  • WHEREAS, for four decades, Dave Wallis documented in photographs the events and people in and around Fargo; and

  • WHEREAS, Dave Wallis bore witness to events great and small, tragic and joyful; and,

  • WHEREAS, this body of work makes up a great historical record of the community.

  • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim Monday, October 30, 2017, as Dave Wallis Day in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.
