Mayoral Proclamation - Margaret Sillers Day - 02.14.2016

I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim February 14, 2016 as Margaret Sillers Day.

  • WHEREAS, Margaret Sillers will be celebrating her 100th birthday on Sunday, February 14, 2016; and

  • WHEREAS, In her 100 years, Margaret has witnessed many historical events such as: women’s right to vote, the Depression, watching flights into outer space, wars, tremendous advances in medicine and technology, changes that have occurred in the Fargo-Moorhead area and so much more; and

  • WHEREAS, Margaret has lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area nearly all of her 100 years.

  • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim February 14, 2016 as Margaret Sillers Day in the City of Fargo, North Dakota and encourage all fellow residents, family and friends to pay tribute to Margaret Sillers on her 100th birthday and wish her health and happiness in all her days to come.
