WHEREAS, An anniversary celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at The Old Broadway Restaurant recognizing the 40th Anniversary of Warren Ackley’s arrival in Fargo; and

WHEREAS, In his 40 years of Fargo residency, Warren Ackley has been a proponent and champion of Fargo’s Downtown innovation and development; and
-
WHEREAS, In 40 years of continued management of The Old Broadway, Warren Ackley has enlisted the support and resources of dozens of local loyal vendors who have shared in his success, and supported and contributed to many of the ongoing programs that benefit the entire city; and
-
WHEREAS, Warren Ackley and his business partner Randy Thorson have continued to help build and support Fargo’s reputation as a tourism destination and entertainment center of the Midwest; and
-
WHEREAS, Warren Ackley has continued to maintain the highest level of Creativity, Innovation, Service and Quality in his entire portfolio of Fargo restaurants and those efforts continue to put Fargo’s best hospitality foot forward.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, September 26, 2017 as Warren Ackley Day in the City of Fargo, North Dakota and encourage all residents, family and friends to pay tribute to Warren Ackley on his 40th Anniversary of continuous management of The Old Broadway at the corner of Broadway and NP Avenue.
