The North Dakota State Library has awarded the Fargo Public Library the North Dakota Star Library Award in recognition of the exemplary service Fargo’s library system provides the community. The Fargo Public Library was compared to other peer libraries with similar operating expenditures in North Dakota, and was ranked in the top three libraries in its category.
The award is based on per-capita circulation, service hours, program attendance, combined computer and Wi-Fi usage, and the percentage of North Dakota Library Coordinating Council Standards for Public Libraries met by the library.
