Zone: North
Project: North Broadway Reconstruction Project

Contractors for the City of Fargo are wrapping up the series of infrastructure improvement and roadway reconstruction projects occurring on Broadway North. By end of day today, Tuesday October 24, the complete roadway of Broadway North between 14th to 12th Avenues N and intersection of 13th Avenue N and Broadway North will fully open to area drivers.

Crews will continue to have a presence through the North Fargo work zone to complete the installation of street signs, pavement markings and street lights. This remaining project work may require short-term lane reductions; however, the road will always remain open with crews working next to moving traffic.

The improvement project is the final stretch of reconstruction planned for the Broadway North roadway in the upcoming capital improvement plans. The City of Fargo has spent the last two construction seasons reconstructing the 60-year-old roadway of Broadway North and upgrading underground utilities. This year’s work was split between two projects on Broadway North from 19th Avenue N to 12th Avenue N and included a complete roadway reconstruction, new curb and gutter, street lights, concrete pavement, city utilities, and the installation of a 30” sanitary sewer force main.

The force main was installed from the downtown area to the Waste Water Treatment Plant to provide additional capacity to the Broadway interceptor line.

Project work on the first project on Broadway North between 15th to 19th Avenues N reopened to traffic mid-July.
