Project: North Broadway Reconstruction Project
Contractors for the City of Fargo have completed reconstruction work for the block between 15th to 14th Avenues N on Broadway North. Starting tomorrow, Thursday August 31, the block will reopen to drivers. There will also be access changes at the intersections in the work zone. The intersection of 14th Avenue N and Broadway North will reopen to east-west and northbound traffic. The 13th Avenue N and Broadway North intersection will close to traffic as crews continue work in the south end of the work zone.
By 5 p.m. on Thursday, the traffic pattern for the second Broadway North project will be:
- CLOSED: Broadway from 14th to 12th Avenues N including the 13th Avenue N intersection
- LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY: Broadway North from 14th Avenue to the mid-block of 14th/13th Avenues
- OPEN: Intersections of 14th Avenue N and 12th Avenue N
- DETOUR ROUTE: 4th Street N
- SIDEWALKS: Closed through portions of the work zone for safety reasons
Weather permitting, this traffic pattern will be in place for the next six weeks. The next block of Broadway has about 75 percent of the new city and private underground utilities installed. Once the underground work is complete, crews will begin the paving operations between 14th to 13th Avenues N.
Project work on the first project on Broadway North from 15th to 19th Avenues N reopened to traffic mid-July.
