SUMMARY:"A Fireproof Home for the Bride" Virtual Book Discussion with Author Amy Scheibe
DESCRIPTION:Author Amy Scheibe will join us for an online discussion of her 2015 book ___A Fireproof Home for the Bride___. Set in 1950s Minnesota and North Dakota, the novel is a classic coming-of-age story featuring 18-year-old Emmy Nelson, who becomes swept up in a family secret when she attempts to step outside her parents’ rules in order to follow her heart. The book captures a time when women’s roles were being rapidly redefined, and when a country that had been united in the wake of World War II was starting to fray along the weaker seams of prejudice. [Pre-registration is required](http://programregistration.library.fargond.gov/ "register online"). Once registered, you will receive an email and link regarding the virtual meeting details. A limited number of copies of the book are available. Email lwest@fargolibrary.org for details.
Thursday, Feb. 25 – Online at 6:30 p.m.
