Friends of the Fargo Public Library

About the Friends

The Friends of the Fargo Public Library is an advocacy group that promotes the library through fundraising, sponsoring events, and organizing used book sales.

More than 250 individuals and families were charter members of the Friends organization. The group officially formed in March 1995.

Friends Bookstore Hours at the Main Library

Updated 7/17/2020: The Friends of the Fargo Public Library bookstore will be open Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting July 18, during regular library hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). In addition, the Friends will be able to accept donations during those hours, too.

Request for Donations
The Friends of the Fargo Public Library accept donations of used books and other media such as DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. The items can be brought to the Friends' bookstore at the Main Library (102 3rd Street North in downtown Fargo) during bookstore hours (Wednesdays and Saturdays). Most any type of children's or adult books and media are welcome.
