The City of Fargo will host public forums on opportunity zones on February 18 and 19. Meetings will be held on both days from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. On February 19, a bus tour will be held from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. The meetings will be held within the Commission Chambers at Fargo City Hall (225 4th Street North) and live-streamed across the City’s communication channels and social media outlets.

Invited guests include community partners, local developers, regional administrators from the United States Departments of Housing & Urban Development, Small Business Administration, Economic Development Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency, along with the State of North Dakota housing and economic development offices.

The forum is designed to be an overview of the new Opportunity Zone program and a discussion with development partners as the City explores collaboration in relation to redevelopment and addressing the needs of an expanding affordable housing demand. The members of the Fargo City Commission have been invited to this meeting, along with the Cass County Commission, Fargo Park District and the Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Several quorums may be present.
