The City of Fargo is currently seeking neighborhood residents, business owners and neighborhood stakeholders to serve on representative steering committees for the Fargo Core Neighborhoods Plan. The City has partnered with a professional community development consultant to facilitate the development of a Core Neighborhoods Plan over the course of the 2020 calendar year.

This effort will bring together neighborhood stakeholders to collaboratively examine the neighborhoods surrounding the downtown core. The study will build upon the vision and goals of the Go2030 Comprehensive Plan; identify and respond to current conditions and issues; and will help to guide public and private investment within the City’s core neighborhoods. Neighborhoods included in this study area are: Clara Barton, Horace Mann, Hawthorne, Jefferson/Carl Ben, Lewis & Clark, Madison/Unicorn Park, Roosevelt/NDSU, South High, and Washington.

Additional information regarding the Fargo Core Neighborhoods Plan can be found at FargoND.gov/CoreNeighborhoodsPlan. Individuals interested in serving their neighborhood as a steering committee representative are encouraged to express their interest no later than January 31.
