City of Fargo Seeking Interest To Build Affordable Senior Housing Projects

Pending 2019 HUD Action Plan approval, the City of Fargo is seeking interest from developers who are building affordable senior housing projects in 2020. The City of Fargo is an entitlement city for HUD and is scheduled to receive 2019 HOME funds.
This year the City of Fargo has scheduled a 2019 HOME activity to assist housing developers build affordable senior housing development with HOME funds assistance. Activities that the City can participate in with this activity includes acquisition, demolition, construction or rehabilitation.
Interested developers or land owners who would like to participate in this HOME activity should submit their letter of interest to Planning by close of business August 19th. The letter of interest should include a narrative of project type, number of estimated units, amount of subsidy needed, designated activity the funds received, estimated tenant income threshold by percentage of unit make-up, and project development timeline. A summary of interests received will be presented to the Community Development Committee at their regularly scheduled August 20, 2019 meeting which begins at 2:30 PM in the City Commission Chambers at 225 N 4th Street.
