The City of Fargo has announced the dates for its spring Compost and Wood Chip Giveaway Program, as follows:
• Saturday, May 4 – 7:15 a.m. to 12 noon
• Wednesday, May 8 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Thursday, May 9 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 15 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Thursday, May 16 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Wednesday, May 22 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
• Thursday, May 23 – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The compost and wood chips are available just west of the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility at 606 43 1⁄2 Street North in Fargo. Residents with bags and cans will need to load their own materials; City staff members will assist in loading pickups and trailers. To claim the free compost and woodchips, individuals will need to show proof of residency (such as a utility bill or driver’s license).
