19th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration to be held at the Fargo Theatre

The Fargo Human Relations Commission (HRC) will host its annual celebration honoring civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 21, at 6:30 p.m. within the Fargo Theatre (314 Broadway).

The 18th annual event will feature performances by Edward Fredericks, Treo’Soul and a Somali Dance Group, in addition to the Fargo HRC Human Rights Award presentations. The event is free and open to the public.

The HRC’s Human Rights Awards will be presented to selected members of the youth community, an adult and an organization that have made significant contributions to the area of human relations in the F-M community.

The Fargo HRC works to promote acceptance and respect for diversity, and discourages all forms of discrimination. The HRC meets on the third Thursday of each month at 12 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers at 200 3rd St. N. A public comment period is provided at the meetings.
