MATBUS invites Fargo-Moorhead residents and visitors to explore a low-cost transportation solution this holiday season. MATBUS Quarter Days will take place the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 23 and 24), and every Saturday in December. Riders can board MATBUS fixed route vehicles for only a quarter (25ยข) each trip during these high-traffic, prime shopping days.
Route 15 will offer increased service by operating every 15 minutes on Quarter Days, helping riders get their shopping done faster. MATBUS operates 23 fixed bus routes in the Fargo-Moorhead metro, with direct access to many popular retail locations, including West Acres, Downtown Fargo and the Moorhead Center Mall. Shoppers can travel in a warm, heated bus while avoiding holiday headaches such as icy roads, busy parking lots and increased traffic.
During each Quarter Day, drawing boxes will be placed on the buses, allowing riders to register for prizes worth $25 to be provided by Midwest Communications. Ten winners will be randomly selected every week through Monday, December 17 (40 total winners).
