Library's bookmark design winners announced

Area youngsters and teens submitted some awesome designs for the Fargo Public Library’s annual Design a Bookmark Contest in March.

Area youngsters and teens submitted some awesome designs for the Fargo Public Library’s annual Design a Bookmark Contest in March. We are excited to announce the winning designs. The contest, to help celebrate March’s designation as Youth Art Month, was open to kids ages birth through age 12 and also teens, ages 13 to 18.

Categories for the entries were broken into the following age groups for the Kids' Contest: birth to age 5, ages 6 to 8, and ages 9 to 12. Thank you to all of the creative kids who participated. The winning artists in each category are:
• Birth to age 5: Cole L., age 5
• Ages 6 to 8: Laura D., age 8
• Ages 9 to 12: Merill W., age 10

Categories for the entries were broken into the following age groups for the Teen Contest: ages 13 to 14, and ages 15 to 18. Thank you to all of the creative teens who participated. The winning artists in each category are:
•Ages 13 to 14: Lexi T., age 13
•Ages 15 to 18: Ruth D., age 15

Each winning design will be printed in full color and distributed at all three Fargo Public Library locations and at various library events and programs over the next year. Images of the five winning designs may also be viewed on the library’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
