Library's "Exceptional 80s Films" Series Starts Sunday, April 22, at Main

Starting Sunday, the Fargo Public Library will host a 4-week film series featuring exceptional movies from the 1980s at the downtown Main Library.

The Fargo Public Library will host "Exceptional 80s Films,” a four-week series featuring movies from the 1980s, starting Sunday, April 22, at the downtown Main Library. A screening of the movie The Elephant Man (1980, PG) is set for Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. in the Community Room. Local film critic and historian Tony McRae, along with local film critic Matt Olien, selected the films. They will introduce each movie and lead a brief discussion after each showing as part of the series.
Other dates and films in the series include:
April 29 – My Favorite Year (1982, PG)
May 6 – Witness (1985, R)
May 13 – The Accidental Tourist (1988, PG)

All films are approximately 100 minutes long. Free popcorn will be served. Children age 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
