17th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration at The Fargo Theatre

The Fargo Human Relations Commission will host their annual celebration honoring civil rights

The Fargo Human Relations Commission will host their annual celebration honoring civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway. The 18th annual event will feature performances by the NDSU Hip Hop Dance Group, Treo’Soul, and Kwaician Traylor, in addition to the Fargo Human Relations Award presentations. The event is free and open to the public.

The Fargo Human Relations Award will be presented to a youth, an adult, and an organization that have made significant contributions to the area of human relations in the FM community.

The Fargo Human Relations Commission works to promote acceptance and respect for diversity and discourages all forms of discrimination. The Human Relations Commission meets on the third Thursday of every month at 12 p.m. in the City Commission Room, City Hall, 200 3rd St. N. A public comment period is provided at the meetings.
