WHEREAS, The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has for 39 years distinguished itself as the voice of women in construction in the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Lakes area; and

WHEREAS, The work done by the Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has benefited the area through community development and educational programs; and
-
WHEREAS, The Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has unceasingly promoted the employment and advancement of women in the construction industry; and
-
WHEREAS, The construction community, represented by the Fargo Moorhead, ND Chapter #246, has been a driving force in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects, promotion of skilled trades careers, and a positive vision of the future; and
-
WHEREAS, The Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 has sought to achieve successful results for the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo and Lakes area in a cooperative spirit with other organizations.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, North Dakota, do hereby proclaim March 5th through 11th, 2017 as Women in Construction Week in the City of Fargo and hereby recognize the Fargo-Moorhead, ND Chapter #246 and its many dedicated volunteers for its steadfast work on behalf and support of women in construction and encourage our citizens to congratulate the organization on its many accomplishments.
