Mayoral Proclamation - World Wish Day - 04.29.2017

WHEREAS, Make-A-Wish is celebrating granting more than 380,000 wishes worldwide and more than 800 wishes in North Dakota; and

WHEREAS, Make-A-Wish North Dakota is a non-profit organization based in Fargo solely dedicated to granting wishes to children ages two and a half to 18 years with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy; and

WHEREAS, The greatness of our Fargo community lies in the heart and generosity of our people; and

WHEREAS, Make-A-Wish North Dakota depends on referrals and volunteers locally and across the state to realize its vision to reach every eligible child and make their wishes come true; and

WHEREAS, Wish kids and their families inspire us all with their life-affirming stories, many of which can be found on the Make-A-Wish North Dakota website www.northdakota.wish.org.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That I, Timothy J. Mahoney, Mayor of the City of Fargo, do hereby proclaim April 29, 2017 as World Wish Day in the City of Fargo, North Dakota.
