The Fargo Public Library has several storytimes available for families and caregivers where staff share their love of books and reinforce early literacy skills. Through the use of age-appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays in a group setting, staff also help parents and caregivers learn how to foster early literacy skills to prepare their children for learning to read.
Registration-only storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers are held in multiple-week sessions during the fall and winter.
Registration for the Winter 2018 Storytime session (January 8 - April 11) begins December 1, 2017.
There are three ways to register:
Toddler Storytimes are for children 18 months to 3 years of age. During the toddler storytime sessions, parents/guardians are required to sit with their children in the storytime area. Toddler Storytimes are generally 20 minutes in length.
Large group space is limited. Daycares or other groups of five or more children need to call Children’s Services at 701.241.1495 to register.
Be sure to pick up a Storytime Punch Card. Children who attend 10 storytimes earn a free book!
