Preschool Storytime at Main

Date: September 25, 2017

Time: 11:00 am - 11:30 am

Location: Main Library, 102 3rd Street North, Fargo, ND 58102 Get Directions

The Fargo Public Library has several storytimes available for families and caregivers where staff share their love of books and reinforce early literacy skills. Through the use of age-appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays in a group setting, staff also help parents and caregivers learn how to foster early literacy skills to prepare their children for learning to read.

Registration-only storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers are held in multiple-week sessions during the fall and winter.
Registration for the Fall 2017 Storytime session (September 11-December 13) begins August 1.

There are three ways to register:

  1. Call Children’s Services at 701.241.1495
  2. Email kids@fargolibrary.org
  3. Register online

Preschool Storytimes are open to children age 3 or older. Children turning 3 during the current session may also register. During the preschool storytime sessions, parents/guardians are required to remain in the library building. Parents are not required to sit with their children the entire time and may browse the collection if the children are comfortable with the parent doing so. Preschool Storytimes are generally 30 minutes in length.
Large group space is limited. Daycares and groups of five or more children need to call Children’s Services at 701.241.1495 to register.

Be sure to pick up a Storytime Punch Card. Children who attend 10 storytimes earn a free book!
