Zone: North

*Project start date is now Monday, October 2nd.

In the coming weeks, crews will continue work on the city-wide project to upgrade sanitary sewer force main infrastructure service for residents in North Fargo.

Starting on Monday, October 2, a two-block section of Broadway North between 32nd Avenue N and 35th Avenue N will fully close to traffic. The active work zone will be south of the Fargo City Wastewater Plant. The blocks surrounding the work zone will be open for local traffic to access business driveways and 33rd Avenue N to residential areas.

The project work is expected to take 14 days, weather permitting.

To continue north on Broadway from this area, drivers can travel east on 32nd Avenue N to north on Cherry Lane to west on 35th Avenue N to Broadway North during the project work.

The roadway closure in needed to install a 30” sanitary sewer force main connection under the roadway. The new force main will reline a deteriorating 70-year-old sanitary sewer main and connect the area to the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Once completed, it will provide additional capacity to the Broadway interceptor line, which currently is at maximum capacity.
