You can boost Fargo’s “green” initiatives by MATBUS. One bus carrying 85 people saves 54 gallons of gas in one day, reducing our city’s dependence on gasoline. Riding MATBUS also reduces wear on city streets, saving money for taxpayers on street maintenance costs.
The city’s recycling program also offers you a way to protect our natural resources. About 60 percent of what’s in your garbage could be recycled. The city offers a curbside recycling program and many drop-off locations for recyclables.
