Large Item Disposal

Items such as small amounts of building material, furniture, appliances and automotive parts, etc. may be collected by Solid Waste crews for a fee on a call-in basis only. The fee is based on the amount and weight, and is added to the homeowner's utility bill.

If you have extra bags outside of your cart that you'd like our staff to collect, please call the Division of Solid Waste to schedule the collection 701.241.1449. The cost is $3 per bag for bags up to 33 gallons in size.

If you live in an apartment, you should contact your landlord to inquire about disposal of large items.

Large items may also be hauled to the Sanitary Landfill for a fee.

During Cleanup Week, two appliances per household can be set out for collection. Doors should be removed.
