Liquor Control Board - November 15, 2017 Minutes

Present: Police Chief Dave Todd, City Auditor Steve Sprague, Grant Larson, Environmental Health,
Absent: Commissioner Piepkorn and Commissioner Gehrig
Others Present: Rick Carik, Rick’s; Dustin Mitzel, Happy Harry’s; Other members of the media, concerned citizens and other members of the industry.

Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M.

1. Auditor Sprague called the meeting to order and asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of October 18, 2017. There were no additions or corrections to the minutes of October 18, 2017. Moved by Todd, seconded by Larson to approve the minutes of the October 18, 2017 meeting of the Liquor Control Board; all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

2. A. The first application to be considered today is for the transfer of a Class H alcoholic beverage license from River Smash LLC d/b/a Smashburger to Colvigsod Concepts LLC d/b/a Smashburger to be located at 1801 45th Street South.

There were no issues of concern with this application.

Moved by Todd, seconded by Larson to approve the transfer of a Class H alcoholic beverage license from River Smash LLC d/b/a Smashburger to Colvigsod Concepts LLC d/b/a Smashburger to be located at 1801 45th Street South, all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

B. The second application to be considered today is for the issuance of a Class GH alcoholic beverage license to Off The Hook Seafood, LLC d/b/a Deep Blue Seafood to be located at 4480 23rd Avenue South #4.

There were no issues of concern with this application.

Moved by Todd, seconded by Larson to approve the issuance of a Class GH alcoholic beverage license to Off The Hook Seafood, LLC d/b/a Deep Blue Seafood to be located at 4480 23rd Avenue South #4. All voted in favor, motion carried.

3. Sprague commented the discussion regarding Class E permits and guidelines for license issuance will be discussed when the Commissioners are present.

4. Sprague commented the Green Mill will reopen as The Crooked Pint sometime in March.

There being no further business to come before the Liquor Control Board, the meeting was adjourned at 1:37 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the City Commission Room.
