Auditorium Commission - April 21, 2017 Minutes

The City Hall Auditorium Commission held a meeting Friday, April 21, 2017,
at 7:30 A.M. in the Commission Room of City Hall.

The members present were as follows:

PRESENT: Deutsch, Armbrust, Thompson, Nustad.

ABSENT: Olson

OTHERS PRESENT: Bruce Grubb

President Armbrust called the meeting to order.

Floor was turned over for a presentation from 2 people from Emerging Prairie Katie and Lindsay. They talked about their upcoming events for Drone Conference and TedXFargo. Both were asking for reduced rent for the events. Motion by Thompson for rent reduction of $5,000.00 for TedXFargo event. Seconded by Deutsch. Motion approved. Tickets for TedXFargo event are $100.00 per person and for the Drone tickets are $200.00 per person.

MINUTES APPROVED: Deutsch moved approval of Minutes of meeting held on February 24, 2017. Seconded by Thompson.

FINANCIAL REPORT: Is doing better than last year. March 2017 is doing great up $50,000.00 from the monthly budget. Deutsch moved approval of financial report. Seconded by Thompson.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Things are going good for the Civic staff with only 3 full time staff. The board gave Rick, Pat and Colleen complement for their hard work. Talked about the upcoming events. More events in the months May and June compared to other years. Also discussed to have the board meetings moved to 8AM starting in May 2017.

EVENT EVALUATION SHEETS: No actions taken.

LOST BUSINESS: None.

COMING EVENTS: Drone conference, Special Olympics and concert.

NEW BUSINESS: None.

Floor was turned over to Gregg Schildberger. Gregg gave a presentation for the new web page for the Fargo Civic Center and the City of Fargo.

There was no further business to be discussed.

Thompson moved adjournment for the meeting. Seconded by Nustad.
